The City of Maupin & the Maupin Area Chamber Endowment (MACE) Deschutes River Athletic Complex (DRAC) are sprinting toward completing an amazing world class Track & Field Athletic Complex in the Spring of 2021. After breaking ground August 2020, you can now join us as we gather speed into the Fall & Winter of 2020. Our goals are to host our first track & field events in the Spring of 2021, aligned with the US Olympic Trials in the Summer of 2021 and then to bring athletes from around the world to the Oregon2022 World Track & Field Championships in Maupin, OR!#authenticoregon22

Highlights From Our Celebration
Our “Let’s Just Build a REAL Track” Fundraising Campaign goal was to raise $400,000 ($250,382 raised to date) to finish track in Spring of 2021 and then to raise another $1,500,000 to finish the entire complex. Rebecca Mehra
Mehra is a professional runner for @oiselle and @runlittlewing Bend Oregon resident and aspiring Olympian that competed during the past summer in Portland Track's Big Friendly Series that brought world class track to small communities
Craig Engels
Engels is a professional runner and personality that won the 2019 National Championships that competes for @nike and is an aspiring Olympian. Engels loves Maupin and has been part of the project since the beginning.
Nate Bosford
We are fortunate to bring Popular Portland-based artist Nate Botsford’s country rock hybrid style to our celebration event. Nate came to us through our relationship with Nike Designer Wilson Smith III who has played for the Phil Bowermans at Nike.
Michael Bergmann
Founder of IncubatorU and President of Portland Track who sees the intersection of a world class track and event venue as a model for rural communities. Bergmann's vision has defined this project.
Jeff Merrill
Our Master of Ceremonies was a national calibur 800 meter runner and the founder of the popular Tracklandia YouTube series and meet director for this past summer's Big Friendly World Class Track Meets. We look forward to hosting similar meets in Maupin in 2021
Susie & Holly Miles
Susie and Holly Miles bring the passion for track and field to this amazing community. The Maupin Deschutes River Athletic Complex is the dream that Holly Miles shared with her parents, Susie and Rob that got everyone else engaged.
